There’s something special about choosing your own patterns, yarns and poms. It connects you to the process of designing your beanies in a way that gives you more respect and curiosity for the materials used and the process itself.

I was raised in upstate New York. I lived in a very quiet town with my 3 siblings and my parents on 10 acres of land. My parents had cows, pigs, rabbits, ducks, and very large vegetable and flower gardens. Looking back, we lived a pretty simple life. At a young age, my mom taught me to knit, crochet & do needlepoint and for that, I am forever grateful. She also taught us all how to bake and prepare meals. My parents both taught their children the value of hard work and love of nature and the land. I have been knitting on and off my entire life making gifts mostly in my free time while raising three children and working as an RN.

When giving gifts to my loved ones, I have always made handmade gifts and given them away with my heart and soul. It is with this idea that I created “Heart and Soul Beanies” as a way to share this warmth. (Because while beanies are already warm, they’re a little bit warmer when they’re handmade with heart and soul). Heart and Soul Beanies truly evolved after Molly, a friend of Eliza (my daughter), wore a beanie of mine to a yoga studio in Denver. I received a call requesting knit beanies with their logo on them and the business took off from there. I make custom beanies in all sizes. I love this option for clients because I get to create with a spectrum of colors and am always so happy with the results!

Handmade with love in Fort Collins, these beanies can be made to order (by color and design) in super-wash merino wool. Poms are removable for easier washing and longer-lasting care.

If you want to see more hats in a variety of colors please head to my Instagram. Feel free to send me an email with questions, I am always happy to help. Stay warm.

“The quality of the fabric is so soft and natural. You can tell how unique each piece is and that makes every item she sells even more special.”
